Hackney Giving recently led a walking tour of four community projects to show some of the great work that local voluntary and community sector organisations are doing.
In a cost of living crisis, every bit of support counts. For Hackney Marsh Partnership (HMP), a post on Hackney Giving’s Match My Project platform led to exactly the boost they needed.
Hackney Marsh Partnership listed their need for 10 new computers for Concorde Youth Hub – essential equipment for the young people who go to the centre to learn, create, and connect. Aston Group saw the post, got in touch, and generously donated all 10.
“We’re proud to have supplied Hackney Marsh Partnership with 10 computers and to contribute in a meaningful way to the great work they’re doing for young people in the borough,” said Aston Group.
Gary Burgess, from Hackney Marsh Partnership, said “For us, it’s more than a donation – it’s a lifeline. The new computers will help young people develop digital skills, access education, and explore new opportunities, whilst saving the charity a capital expense – an expense that eats into our delivery costs.”
Gary added, “Partnerships like this show the real value of Match My Project: bringing local needs and business support together to deliver lasting impact in the community.”
