Walking tour highlights inspiring community projects
Hackney Giving recently led a walking tour of four community projects to show some of the great work that local voluntary and community sector organisations are doing.
In September 2022, Hackney Giving awarded funding of £388,672.12 to nine local not-for-profit organisations supporting people living with complex mental health needs. The grants are funded by City and Hackney Public Health and the programme is being run in partnership with Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, who will be working with the groups as they deliver their projects.
Organisations funded include Lighthouse, which will support women who have experienced abusive or complex marriages and Day-Mer, Turkish and Kurdish Community Centre, which has received funding to provide a programme of well-being support and aiming to reduce isolation.
See the full list of grant-holders for this round.
Congratulations to all funded organisations, we wish you every success with your projects.
