Thanks to donations from the public and an ongoing partnership with Hackney Council, we’ve granted another £165,000 to not-for-profit organisations.

It’s well known that the high cost of living is continuing to affect people. We’ve just awarded a further 33 grants, of approximately £5,000 each, to help people in the winter months. Community groups and charities have been funded to provide groceries, help with bill payments, offer food in community spaces and work preventively, to try to stop issues becoming worse.

We visited many of the projects funded earlier in the year and saw first-hand the impact they’re having. Whether it was beds at Hackney Night Shelter, lunch clubs where older people get together, share food and have a laugh or summer holiday clubs for children, each of them was clearly making a positive difference to people’s lives.
